wildfire4 ed inventor

I tried to search, but I didn't find my answer.

a client told me that the wildfire 4 allows to go out in the native format of inventor, since I am still at 3, can someone confirm or not the thing?

in fact in wf4 there is an inventor export (.iv),
but creates a series of triangles (type stl) of the part,
He can't even reopen it. . .
I don't think that's what I was looking for.
