Bye to all,
I did not find anything in other posts so I ask you!!!

I can't install inventor 2010 on a fixed location with so windows 7 to 64bit.
Inv. is the 32-bit student version.

exists by chance a path to allow such installation or is the 32 program that cannot be installed on a PC with 64-bit system.

Moreover I would like to know what are the limitations of inv. student version regarding a standard suit? ? ?

Thank you:

Surely you can't install a 32-bit program on a 64-bit operating system, but I don't know if there are additional emulator or similar programs that allow you to do so.

I don't think the problem is 64bit. so much to make an example, I use caia 32bit on 64-bit win7. the only limitation is that then the program does not exploit the power of 6bit. maximum, you can't install 64bit programs on a 32bit.
to help you should say what kind of problem dating in the installation and if all system requirements are satisfied.

hi novice...we at university use inventor 2010 on the seven and if nn' mistaken is the 64 bit xke is the home...an information... could you tell me how you did to download the student version?? ? Did you download it free of charge from the site? ? ?

Sorry for the delay but I solved my problem ..... I forgot to set up the setup file as administrator ..... it acts all perfectly and is stable and fast

Good morning.

I'm living the same problem myself.
I recently purchased a location with windows 7 home premium, I need to install the student version of inventor 2010, the data extraction is performed but when I click to launch the installation the message appears (impossible to install application in the operating system).

I tried to launch as administrator and change the compatibility (before I installed it on xp sp3 and it was fine!), I downloaded all the updates of w.7 but nothing, always the same damn message.

What do I do? Can you help me please?

Thank you.

Rule #1 says: I introduce myself and then I ask the questions.
install inventor 2010 on a notebook with windows 7.... I see the message that software cannot be installed with my operating system
You don't have the right version.
One of the two is 32bit and the other is 64bit (or 46bit as the sw d'er president ).

did not tell you the assistance ?:36_6_1:

Bye.

Sorry, I'm safe and I'm in charge of offshore platform engineering (piping and structure).
windows 7 is the 64-bit version, the software was given to me by my company without documentation. . I think it's the 32-bit version, if so, is there a possibility to install it anyway?

for personal experience, if I have to install 32-bit software on the notebook with win7 pro 64bit, I act like this:

1] I log as administrator (if it does not appear, you have to activate it with the dos command
c: net user administrator /active:yes)

2] install the program in a partition different from c

3] if it doesn't work for manifest incompatibility, then it provides virtualization xp_mode, but it's really the last beach.

I give up!! on my laptop was installed windows 7 home premium that does not allow me to install x_mode! !
Thanks the same! !

that I remember 2010 had a cd or a single installer x86/x64, then according to the so installed what needed, while it is 2011 that has two separate installers one by x86 and one by x64... no?

I don't understand what the problem is.
if you are fired just ask for assistance or download from the autodesk site the appropriate version.
If you're not, we don't care anymore.
We also consider that the installation of a (2a ) license on the laptop implies being in subscription and the use of the same cannot be contemporary on two machines.

Bye.

on my laptop was installed windows 7 home premium
Toro,
the fact that imaginary-miliardary oilers install the home version on the notebooks of their designers seems inverosimile, however it is... Having never seen a win7 home premium, I can't say what limitations it has on installation as an administrator.
@ Stefanobruno"if you're not fired, we don't care anymore"

This phrase honors you, you're great. :finger:
