What do you mean, "platform 2007"? if you refer to windows 7 as in the title (7 stands for version number, not for 2007), inventor 2008 is not compatible with windows 7, it is from 2010 onwards http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteid=123112&id=14034959&linkid=9242018

in the office we have several inventor series 10 licenses, and we use it on pc equipped with so xp pro. As I have to take a new workstation and I will probably find it with win7, I was wondering if there was a way to utilise version 10 on this new operating system, for example with an emulator or something like that. on the autodesk site I read that it is compatible only with win200 and xp...
help!!! ! !

hi alby, on the site of the microsoft you can download "xp mode" for windows 7, but personally I don't recommend it because it doesn't take full advantage of the potential of the machine (as regards graphics card and ram).

you may, once you take the new pc, check if the hardware drivers are there also for windows xp and then do a downgrade of the operating system.
