I would like to know if there is a way to write with rhino, I would have to make writings to put in the car, a cnc mill.
the "normal" method that is by clicking on text, consent to write but in default we say. . .
Then I would like to know how to import a jpg image, I tried with the function "picture image" I create a surface, amount the image, a normal photo, but I do not see anything.. .
Thank you.

for the first question:I don't know how to tell you this is something I never had to deal with,I don't know if there is a specific command but I don't think, at the limit I think you should manually do the letters.....certo is a nuisance:frown:

for the second:you don't have to create the surface before, when you click on the command before it will make you choose the image and then with the pane you will insert it.

for the first question no problem..I solved by downloading a free progrmmino for writing... .
to import the image my procedure is this: command "image picture" -->poi tells me first point, second point and the square is formed, then if I send it makes me create mesh rendering in progress but then nothing appears... maybe there is a minimum or maximum size for the image? Thanks:-)

the sequence is: "picture" > image choice to import > first vertex > image length (choice, to type with number or "eye" by pointing the left button on the screen) then click with the left to right (to have the right image) or to left (you will have the reversed image).
other method:
view>bitmap background >colloca> image choice >first vertex > second vertex or length. in this case you will have to manage all subsequent operations on the image (scale, move, etc.) passing again from "visuality". as the command says, this is an image of background visible only on the view where you placed it.
Another method is to create a rectangular surface with the proportions of the chosen image and apply the same as texture.
the first and third should be equivalent as a final result, but I can't tell you more because I didn't have a chance to verify.
to understand what method it does to your case, you have to experiment.

Bye.

with the first I can not, it was the process I used before but eventually I see only a white surface without image, with the second I actually imported the image.
with the third, it is not even a starting point and thank you! If maybe you can better explain to me the third step, because I would like to see the image also in the prospective pane.thanks a thousand anyway!

I'm trying too.
I believe that the first and third system are equivalent, if you intend to have a flat image, parallel to normal views. (you can also rotate it in a second time). in the first case you will have it automatically with the original proportions; in the third you will have to establish them when building the flat surface.
in the third, however, you can apply the image in any location even to a solid. to have it only on one face, however, you must first explode it, otherwise the image is distributed on all faces. depends on the effect you want to get.
for the problem you do not see: did you try to check the display? (I work with rhino5: right button on the view name and try to change the display e.g. from wireframe to render).
Anyway, it's weird and I don't know how to help you for now. to me he managed immediately: I was in wireframe, but I also saw it rendered.
to apply the texture (third method): select the created surface; in the side band: material design for: object (+)>import image and apply it. (you will see it only in the rendering visualization, or rendering).
Bye.

hi.I will try to perform the steps that illustrious...now unfortunately I can not try as I use rhino on the pc of a friend who has version 3 I seem...I would like to be sure to succeed in doing the things that I need before spending 995 euros:-)
trà the latro I saw that it is possible to download a trial version but can do few saves...va be,now they are oftopic.. .
I'll let you know as soon as possible!!
