Hi.
Has anyone ever done assemblies with more than 20000 components? I wonder why I have to choose the right workstation.. .
Thank you.

the maximum of the technology on the market and make all the settings of solidworks to lighten, display in feather weight, via the edges etc.
However, everything depends on how to impose axioms and subaxioms as well as relationships.

I tell you my experience.. .
I bought at the beginning of 2016 a ws hpz440 with 16 gb ram and with a board m4000. apart from the obvious problems that had the card, reported extensively here in the forum, sw can be used very well in the modeling phase. problems arise in the table.
I have not yet been able to understand how to solve them, so much so that when I make the designs look (and unreal). I read in one of the last posts that there was who complained equally having a pc of the cost of 15000 euruni with a k6000! I don't think we should add anything else. in pennies the advice I feel to give you is to buy a high-grade high-grade high-performance pc. I was in you I would choose x cards amd non nvidia.

everything depends on the files.... you can have problems handling assemblies of 3 components weighing 400mb cad and not having with assemblies of 5000 washers. file weight and poor optimisation also slow down the most performing machines. just look at the difference between a normal or geometric repetition. if you have budgets do not save you take a certified top of range and you should not have problems

I wonder why I have to choose the right workstation.. .
Thank you.
the right workstation counts a patch if you can't handle that type of axiemi well. even large a tenth can nail the most performing workstations if I don't say with my feet but just enough.
I remarried on the workstation and invested savings in a serious course on the management of large assemblies.

I fully agree with marcof!!
"power is nothing without control"

Hi.

If you want to bet on a performance assembly this is the configuration I would do:
motherboard msi z270 gaming pro carbon
cpu intel core i7 7700k overcloccato 5ghz fixed
supernova evga power supply 850 g2
heatsink arctic liquid freezer 360
ssd samsung 960 pro m.2 1tb
hd western digital black 4tb wd4003fzex
ram fury memory black - 64gb kit* (4x16gb) - ddr4 2400mhz cl15 dimm
video nvidia picture p4000 8gb or amd radeon pro wx7100 8gb
card wifi tp-link archer t9e wireless adapter pci express, dual band ac1900, 3 external omnidirectional antennas
a good house able to accommodate a 360 radiator and that allows good indoor ventilation (there are many... depends on how much you want to spend)
Burner, memory card reader.

I think this is the right workstation to turn solidworks:cool:
for managing big assemblies depends on your degree of experience and preparation. ..as you have already been told a set of few pieces but complex from the point of view of the parameters behind you can plant the best workstations.. .

just out of curiosity, and why don't I want:redface: to go for me: did you get the price?
Hello, Marcof!
motherboard msi z270 gaming pro carbon ---- 140€
cpu intel core i7 7700k ----> 330€
supernova evga power supply 850 g2 ---> 120€
arctic liquid freezer 360 --->120€
ssd samsung 960 pro m.2 1tb ---> 590€
hd western digital black 4tb wd4003fzex ---> 213
ram kingston fury memory black - 64gb kit* (4x16gb) - ddr4 2400mhz cl15 dimm ---> 410€
video card nvidia picture p4000 8gb --->1020€
amd radeon pro wx7100 8gb ---> 730
tp-link archer t9e wireless adapter pci express, dual band ac1900, 3 omnidirectional external antennas --->65€
a good house able to accommodate a 360 radiator and that allows good indoor ventilation (there are many... depends on how much you want to spend) you start from about 160€ to get to 600€
cd/dvd/blue-ray, memory card reader 100€

the total with the radeon pro and without the case does €2818 (I did not consider the cost of assembly that should be around 150€)....it is not really an economic pc but according to me it is a configuration that allows to stay quiet for at least five years.

the total with the radeon pro and without the houses makes €2818
Thank you, but I didn't want you to waste time looking for prices one by one, I thought you already had the total. I wrote I'm lazy, not an asshole! :-)

I simply copied and pasted the prices I had saved apart.

Since you were talking about more or less performing and certified pcs, right now my certified components make me see these lines (father-son) that remain until I change screenCattura.webpLet's meditate. . .

Yes and who do you want me to be so kind!?! :smile:
reveal it on the bay :36_1_13: and try the new p4000 picture or the radeon pro wx 7100.... then tell me how they go so I go on the safe:cool:
I'll keep my w5000 for a while.

I think you do well to keep your amd!
You know how many times I've been thinking about reselling it and then I've always desisted because the performance is still there and it's right to say it.
I have to say that these strange thighs begin to do my old ws with painting 600. Of course I never thought I had perfection with this old, but glorious, tab, but with the new one and the thing I get very upset.
the experience of the last year has shown me widely that nvidia to lost the hypothetical perfection that people gave him and that before buying another I will think of it millions of times.

ps: if I buy one of those you'll be the first one I'll tell you how they go! :biggrin:

I am the user with the k6000, and confirm, the power is in without control, but the fact remains that the program for itself has microfiches when changing references or importing components into a set. It's not as fluid as you'd expect. Let's talk about assemblings from a few components. Just see the management of configured a bit full.
