Good evening to all, I have a problem with loading xrefs when I go to open a dwg file. the problem is that when I go to open a drawing ie these does not charge me the xrif that is present in the drawing. precise that in the study where I work on a common server and that I checked the search path and corresponds with the one where the reference is saved, also correspond the names of the folders and the server. someone can help me, I also attach a file for if it can be useful.

dark evening, excuse me if I've been absent for so many days and I haven't answered any more but I've had problems, I apologize to all. If I do as he said gp and reload the path, from my pc I can load the xrif but then they can no longer charge it my colleagues and for so they should recharge it and at this point it would be again invisible to me... practically a vicious circle.... :frown:

the network path should not be mapped (z:\....) but to do the type \\nomeserver\......, you will see that this will work with everyone.

bye

I apologize for my ignorance, but can you explain how I have to do this setting to search for xrifs?

Thank you very much

in your attachment I read: z:\aica\01 jobs\.... .
you can choose two roads:
1) all pcs must have the same drive letter (z:) connected to the network path.
2) instead of z: you have to enter the name of the pc used to store xrefs.

during the insertion of the xref, instead of using the z drive:, click on network, select the pc that contains the xrefs, navigate up to the dwg file and confirm.

n.b.: if the pc containing xref is used to draw, take care to use the network path also in this.

you could add the network path directly into tools/option/file->support file search path, but it is a method that I would not approve working in teams with other people.

bye
