Hi, I read a lot of your arguments and I realized how much I'm dismembered. :frown: in the folders where work you automatically create the "miracle" file in .bak. I find them extremely hateful when I work in a folder with multiple autocad files.
I ask you, is there any way to deviate everyone in a folder I like?

You don't see them as a carcad.

if on the folder you want to see them separated just click on type... so it would also be very easy to move or delete them.

if you want to disable them, but it is not advisable, you can do it from options

no, the .bak is saved in the same position as the new dwg, but if it bothers you, you can follow the roberto board and uncheck the creation of backup copies in options\open and save.

it would be an operation to avoid, but setting a few minutes between automatic saves (.bak and .sv$ on folder at will) you would put "almost" away.

or do a text file, write us in "the *.bak" and call it "cancella.bat". You put it in the bak folder, and when you're tired of seeing them, you double-click on it.

This is a beard who rarely know the natives in the windows era. :smile:

you have to act on the windows log by setting the directory you want to the key acetmovebak.
the route is this (change depending on the versions of autocad):
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.0\ACAD-8001:410\FixedProfile\General]there is the key acetmovebak. clicking on this you can enter the directory you want for the destination of .bak of all files that will be saved.

source:http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadid=405786this of course also pressupposes that all files you will save have different names to avoid overwriting of bak files of other designs, since the directory will be unique.

there is also the movebak command of the express, but you should repeat it for each file. for you it is better to change to the registry.
otherwise, always using the movebak command, you can use this solution:

I don't have windows 7, I don't know if the log paths are the same (but I assume you).
But it is not a complicated or dangerous change... Maybe do a backup copy of the log first.

but switch from " options " --> " file " --> " automatic save file location " --> is not easier?

Bye.

are not "the ones" saving files, but the .baks that are created in the same dwg folder.

@plannerroad
I was ignoring that this was feasible, it is not documented, you were a good follower...:finger:

that windows registry solution is strangely not widespread on the internet as a solution.

I'm also looking for a way to send all the bak files to the same directory.. I tried looking for this file but I don't have it. I use autocad 2013. Do you have any idea how I could do that? Thank you.

to create in the registry the key indicated by plannerroad type from command line:(setence "acetmovebak" "percorso")where instead of "path" the location of the rescue folder, e.g. "d:\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Pay attention in typing and be aware that with this choice you could overwg bak with the same name, but placed in different folders.

I found the key and everything.
I put the folder where I put the bak in.
but the bak remain in the folder.
I cad 2015.
What did I do wrong?
