I am involved in engineering, maintenance and safety on a plant: I am a novello and I realize that my culture on this matter must necessarily expand and if on the one hand I say that experience will fill my gaps from another I would like to spend some time studying something more.
what I'm looking for is a tip on manuals that illustrates the processes of engineering and maintenance to optimize them, let's say something in the style of the classic manual of mechanics but with great attention to the above topics.

I would say that you should study the machine directive and inside you find the list of what must be described within a manual.
beyond that it takes a lot of experience.

Hi, I resume the discussion to have some disappointments about it.

the company in which I work realizes products that are not machines and do not have the mark.

for a customer we have provided machines (motor+joint + actuator) under "assemblers". These machines in turn will go to a plant.
are we obliged to provide the manual of use and maintenance?
As said by gerod, this should not arise from respect for "machine directive"?

engine + coupling + actuator tells me so much about "almost machine"... even if you called it a car. the manual (instruments or assembly or installation) must be supplied.

I am not convinced that it is a component that object (repeat, you even call it machine ergo manual instructions, declaration of conformity, etc.).
I'll tell you more. As the engine is in accordance with the lvd (low voltage directive) you will have to maintain this statement, indeed, you should ensure that your assembled does not generate electrical risks.

Then, if they happen, they fall from the clouds (and here lies the saying that the law does not admit ignorant) and do everything to return to legality.
