I am involved in engineering, maintenance and safety on a plant: I am a novello and I realize that my culture on this matter must necessarily expand and if on the one hand I say that experience will fill my gaps from another I would like to spend some time studying something more.
what I'm looking for is a tip on manuals that illustrates the processes of engineering and maintenance to optimize them, let's say something in the style of the classic manual of mechanics but with great attention to the above topics.
I thank those who will try to answer and see and consider everything I make my best wishes for the coming holidays.

would you like to know how to make a manual of use and maintenance?
I would say that you should study the machine directive and inside you find the list of what must be described within a manual.
beyond that it takes a lot of experience.
Hi.

maybe something on the tmp (total productive maintenance) would be more useful.. .

Then as for the realization of a manual service there are a couple of methods, but you will hardly find something written about the genre.

Hi, I resume the discussion to have some disappointments about it.

the company in which I work realizes products that are not machines and do not have the mark.

for a customer we have provided machines (motor+joint + actuator) under "assemblers". These machines in turn will go to a plant.
are we obliged to provide the manual of use and maintenance?
As said by gerod, this should not arise from respect for "machine directive"?

Thank you.

engine + coupling + actuator tells me so much about "almost machine"... even if you called it a car. the manual (instruments or assembly or installation) must be supplied.

I am not convinced that it is a component that object (repeat, you even call it machine ergo manual instructions, declaration of conformity, etc.).
I'll tell you more. As the engine is in accordance with the lvd (low voltage directive) you will have to maintain this statement, indeed, you should ensure that your assembled does not generate electrical risks.
Okay?

good morning gerod and thanks for the answers.

Let's see if I understand:
- What we've provided isn't a car but it's almost a machine.
- you have to provide the manual even if we did the part of the only "assemblers"
- in addition to the manual, to do things as you must, we must also provide some document to guarantee that the assembly does not generate electrical risks

I answer:
1. I don't know how you mean it. depends on what this object does. read the definitions and then associate it with one of the two groups. I saw you wrote a car, but I don't know if it is.
2. if it is almost machine you have to do what the directive tells you, assembly manual
3. I repeat, if it is machine you have to do risk analysis, do your beautiful "relevant technical documentation", make the embedding statement with so much list of unobtained res. for speech electric risks, if it is almost machine give an eye to group 1.5 of the res.

ps. I suggest you read the directive, it seems to me that you don't understand what you have to produce at the documentary level (in practice that it is machine or almost machine, it changes definitions but the substance of docs is the same ... more or less!)

Hi.
It's not that I'm not clear, it's that we've never made "machines."
I've never seen her.

Okay, but you keep calling "machine" what I think I understand is a "almost car."
The difference is substantial!
If you've never done anything like this, better have a flourishing what the directive says. You never know!

It was precisely the answer I wanted to hear because it is the same opinion that I am putting (unnecessarily) to my boss :finger:

I thank you once again

I don't talk anymore! if there is the middle leader also signs the declaration of conformity, just sell.
Then, if they happen, they fall from the clouds (and here lies the saying that the law does not admit ignorant) and do everything to return to legality.

If you want I recommend some books to spend a little time on:http://www.studiofonzar.com/blog/?p=1953then guide to the new directivehttp://ec.europa.eu/enterprise/sect...inery/guide-appl-2006-42-ec-2nd-201006_it.pdfhttp://www.ispesl.it/linee_guida/tecniche/lgdirettivamacchine.pdf

Thank you so much.

I offer you a "virtual" dinner... if I go through your parts I will not fail to do it really.

returning to dinners I would say that this forum is costing me an eye;)

- a dinner at mbt
- one at lightning
- one to gerod
- a hunter.
- an ad er president (especially for the "delusion" I gave him)

I will be happy to do it.
