for what purpose?
the advantage of the family table lies in the fact of managing with a single file x variants, so I struggle to understand where the intelligent question is, it is only if the purpose is to open the files directly to bring them to a cam.
you can also see them separately at the opening without necessarily switching from the generic, there is an option that allows you to view all variants, but the file is always unique.

...it is a commercial part ft with about 80 instances a customer asked us to model some groups (with modeling) with their corporate encoding between the parts to model there are many of these instances
that obviously we would not want to re-model but simply extract from ft and save in .ed* format

that I know there are no options that massively export ft files to proe, only with a pdm you can do it, so the saving copy of the instance with a macro is the fastest thing you can do.:smile:
