Hi, everybody, I'm texting you to ask for something I didn't find anywhere.
I would like to make a feature on a part (e.g. a dig or an extrusion) that bears the name of the par. of course, renameing the file, the feature must change accordingly. in the draft I can use this function, but in the par how do you do it?

to do something like that I made myself a macro, I didn't find any other ways.

In my case I had to be able to write a four-digit code from 0000 to 9999, so I did the features with the excavations of numbers from 0 to 9 for the thousands, hundreds, tens and united and then inserted the parameter to suppress the feature.

if you do not already know vb.net or c.net is difficult, however look in the directory of the guide to the programming voice with solid edge

you can also use sharp develop that or windows scripts that are free.
also the various visual studio express are free of charge and for which there is a lot of documentation.

I see that among the software used there is "solidrules" from what I remember has a more comfortable visual programming environment than a complete development environment.

solid rules is mainly a search sw, document management. also contemplates the planner, web and spare parts. among the various environments there is also the study part, but it is based on a combination of languages.

I'll tell you what I'd like to do solid edge: I have to make a wall full of tiles, divided by columns. column 1 has perhaps largh. 100, column 2 largh. 200 etc.
when I have to make the prospectuses to give to the climbers, I would like to avoid having to ball all the prospectuses, but I would like to realize the first column, apply the dig with the name or the pmi call, then create another column with the revision manager, change the width, and then make the assemblies of these tile files. then I have to make bigger assemblies, and away.
Is there a way to avoid swamping all the prospects?

to do this you make a pmi on the part, placed on the face in view of the table, in which you make a call, recalling the file property name without extension, then make the assembly and visualize the pmes of the parts. put the axieme oriented as you want to see it on the table, cone the visible pmi and generate a view of pmi. put your newly generated view on the table.

I can not use the ball, because the components are many, and in the x drawings I need to indicate only the tiles. in addition the automatic balling becomes unreadable with all lines!!! I only prefer the code in the center of the brick and then print in large format!

- Make a list with the only tile.
- do the automatic balling with the option of posting only what is in the table.
- select all the balls and number parts make them become part name, or code.

in the draft insert a text call, in the drop-down you save by name the settings to recall them in the future e.g.: "filename", the text call will be like:
"%{filename (no extension)|g}"

click on a border and second click for the text position. end


However, I prefer the ball instead of reflexing the views.
