Good morning, I'm trying to use the distinct base, but I'm facing a couple of issues I'd like to subject.

1) how to behave in the case of details purchased and then processed?

for example a pinion I buy and then work with drilling and tab.
I have an executive design, in which parts list appears: n° 1 pinion z17 x 1/2". orbene the design code (number part) will be xxxx.xxx.xx but the description will be pinion z17 x 1/2", in the distinct base then being present only one part number, I have to choose whether to put purchased or other and the thing is limiting, because I have to make it to buy the pinion, but also to send to whom to duty the design to do the processing.

2) how can I "appear" the text written in "number part" automatically in the column "description"? this would only serve me for the details inserted by the inventor's library, since for the description in distinct use the column description.

for point 1) you can make a set that contains only one part and then do the work together (e.g., put the pinion in a set and then with work together holes etc.): I took a while to get there, it works well.

for point 2) you can duplicate the libraries that interest you and edit them as you prefer, by filling out all iproperties as you want (or setting "forms" that automatically complete the various columns). If you've never done it the first time you spend some time but then it works very well.

I would do a second distinct fictitious. Groups for warehouse number (or custom property) and in column amount forks replacement with sum amount.

Yes, for the parts it comes out, the mess is with the subassiemi: if I have a composite traverse used in other subaxes that then make up one of the machines of a plant... if the traverse is an inseparable assembly then appears as "only parts" but the components disappear from the bom... I've never managed this directly from inventor.

in the iam board management-different components, structured card, right-click on the "structured" tab - properties view - level: all levels, ok and then select the delimiter of the individual voices of the subaxis.
export distinct components -view to be exported: structured and export data: all - ok- export to xls and you will have all subaxis with its components.

thanks to the answer, but the point was not like exporting, but what and how, to have a distinct usable.
