I mean, with a gtx580 video card, will I have excellent results?
What do you mean by "excellent results"? rendering times will decrease but quality does not depend on video card. If you think you'll become a cg wizard just by changing big mistake card.
Why do you want to use iray at all costs?

I imported a model on 3dstudio and I saw that inserting only an external light handles the light well without setting parameters.
I'm not a professional and in mental ray I miss out on the endless sects.
I put an image on you to be clearer.
Hi.

In fact! is the big advantage of unbiased engines, few settings- excellent yield. Unfortunately with your video card it would take hours before you have a decent image (then it depends on the resolution. . . )

just those scenes will give you thread to twist for the complete cleansing of the image.
a studio produces those interiors for kitchen deplian, have Nine. high-end cards, and to clean such an image, in a3 300 dpi employ an hour, see you. but the result, regardless they are very good, is spectacular, a photo. Listen to me the least essential, it is two cards, maybe looking for an engine, always gpu, which also has limited stages, like direct lighting (I don't know if iray has this possibility) as octane render. but look that the gpu render for interior according to me is still for a niche, only for certain needs.

hello tristan this is a test with mental ray, after about 1 hour.
What do you think and what would you improve?

Cute, I would give less thought to the floor and remove it completely from sofa and chairs, besides I would put some objects like books, furnishings and seedlings on the large library that is now empty. you also miss the battescopa and some switches to make everything more realistic

I would add that who tiled the floor is a dog!

You're right, but the floor really sucks, but it really is.
the battescopa is missing and I hope to succeed in remaking it in 3dstudio. for lighting I only used an external daylight, how can I improve it?

see that the ceiling and walls are at ease. that is a problem of indirect lighting settings. fg and/or gi

you can continue modeling with the preferred software and import only certain layers or objects by freezing the rest of the scene
