And yet another question... .

After working on a project I realized that in fury to save I created many files because of the versioning that pro-e uses when saving files. Let's talk about the wf5 version.

when I went to use the command "file -> deletes -> prec versions" on a .prt file, to begin cleaning, the answer was: the file does not exist in the database. I did several tests on other files created new, made different versions, but nothing to do.
I tried to see if there was something on the online help but only the procedure is mentioned.

depends on some variables in the config.pro file or other?

p.s: the command "file -> deletes -> all versions" works great! ! !

I use spekan purge to clean the local folders from all versions that pro|e saves, except with the highest number. It's a free utility.

the problem is quite simple, it does not delete the previous versions because you did not set the work directory where there are the previous .prt files you want to delete (as if you use "delete all versions" deletes them even if you are not placed in the dir.)

go to file -> set work directory and place in the dir that contains the .prt file you are working and you will see that it works

you spekan purge works recursively from a mother's folder, you can let him clean all the hard disk :d if you don't find the file send me a message that I turn it by email

I use the clean and purge to delete the old versions of files and junk files of the work directory.
I created macros to call them back (and fast keys)
the clean.bat seems to me there is already between the installation files

version 2.3 is practically an executable that once disappeared should not be installed if I remember well and works alone externally to pro/eversion 3.3 should be installed and also appears within the pro/e menu
I recommend you to start version 2.3* you can set which folder to purge and whether to go even in the subfolders
* you can decide to hold files of a given period for example the last 3 days
* you can decide to keep the files quantity of versions for example 3 versions
* or if you decide to keep one version you can also decide to return it to version 1

if it may interest you.. I created a very simple batch file that cleans (of useless files) in folders and subfolders indicated also "backuppa" some files that I think are vital (in case of loss of the originals, type config.pro ecad_hint.map etc.) and at the end it starts all in a few seconds.
