I doubt that dwg may be the extension of 2d files of ideas, but that the file format is different from that of autocad.

Perhaps you could succeed with the old versions of solid edge, with the current dwg of ideas does not appear among the supported formats.

as I see it, you have two paths:
1 - take the time machine, go back to ~15 years and buy i-deas:biggrin:
2 - post the files on the forum and I, when I can, convert them to you (always if they are not thousands).
