with mastercam, in "outside parameters" , "input/output controls", there is the possibility to set a point and set it as a point of entry or exit or both entry and exit... .

but can't you use a point for the entrance and one for the exit? . . .

hi,cmq the entry and exit point,for closed profiles he takes them alone,the only thing you can do is extend them or reduce them. with the controls you see at the bottom of the entry/exit page...... pay special attention to the internal profiles!!! !

I never use this method, as someone who taught me mastercam, a person who has been working with this software for more than 20 years and is also an instructor, explained to me that when you work the profiles in compensation (g41 or g42) he reasons that for a tangent input he needs a linear space of at least 0.001 mm longer than the milled radius and an ever larger radius of the milled radius.... ! ! !

If these geometries add more, for example another point, mastercam will consider it as a milling point to be reached after having followed the whole contour.
