fold compensation

Good morning, I need clarification

from inventor's help I read the following

the fold compensation equation allows to determine the total length developed by equation:

ltot.

v=(is the result of the calculation of the tolerance of the fold. )

in inventor, the tolerance of the folds is calculated by the following equations

lba=equation +v

lba=(it is the length of the fold tolerance. )

so the v as I echo it if I have no lba....

someone can help me understand

thank you very much laura888, but my problem not as you calculate a development, but just understand what it means inventor by lab and v

and how can I get a lab value if I miss v, one of the 2 variables I have to speculate? ? ? ?

the bend allowance is calculated using this equation:
ba = π × (a/180) × (r + k × t)
