Good evening to all,
I ask your help because I was required a rendering (with solidworks) of a equipment placed inside a closed environment (tunnel).
I wanted your advice on the type of lighting as it does not "filtrate" the light of the environment (all being logically closed. ..

I tried to place bodies with emmissive material but the result is quite poor despite the objects are illuminated; in practice the surfaces are spotted and I do not understand if it is a matter of material or light source. .

At the moment I have no authorization to post images so putroppo I hope you can understand my needs, I know it is hard but I ask you anyway to give me a hand!
alternatively I would also be helpful to know how you would illuminate the scene.

thanks in advance of advice.

have you tried to use dot lights placed inside the tunnel?

Thank you for the answer! I set some lights, but after a certain number, I didn't get any more... .
tomorrow I check if they were dots... in case you can tell me they're "unlimited"? !

Thank you!

I'm not sure but I tried to see: beyond the 3 directional that there are by default (plus the environmental one) the limit of lights that made me add is 5, for a total of 8 "directional" lights (9 with the environmental one).

edit: rechecking you can also remove the 3 directional defaults coming to 8 dot lights since from what I understood the 3 directional you are not useful being there tunnel

There was a limit... .
because from what I understood the three directions you are not useful being there tunnel
... exactly... I didn't try to delete the default ones!

Unfortunately I will not be able to try soon... but as soon as I have time to put my hand I will let the result know. .

in any case can you tell me if it is a good method to illuminate with emissive materials?! from the result I got it doesn't seem to me. .

everything depends on the mapping of the texture file and the scale that applies to those.
you can change the values in the options and preview the result if you use realview but the final result you only see at the end rendering (even with regard to the dot lights)
