hi, it will be inexperience my but I just can't find the usefulness of this... I think it's really crazy, where can you bring? Mah!
you're wrong, it's a great method especially to get the exact weight of modeled commercials, imported into various formats etc., just put the right weight in relationships and it's made. Try to believe.

if ever to find the exact density... Anyway, I'd be right about the opposite. that is, first model, then I apply the material to which is connected a standard density and away with the mass. the commercials to which you refer will have a standard reference material, or do they weigh piece by piece?

I take advantage to attach the 1.0 creo material folder to which I added the dani library. I didn't have a problem with importing it, it was enough to give it the right path and it went! I even found the viton!

I am interested in the weight not the density, for example if I have to represent an electric motor I make a model with the external dimensions, the feet, the tree, but what there is inside the perch I can not give the right material to the individual pieces to find the weight, percui I read the weight on the catalog (e.g. 20 kg) and with the formula mp_density=20/mp_volume(')

Well, now it's clearer with the example. Let's say it's a battle strategy here:biggrin:. I'll keep in mind.

Good morning, everyone! I introduce myself, they are luigi and I am new say in this forum.
I need help.
would you have a recent material library?
would serve to make calculations with the analysis package in creo 6.
I believe that cmq can also be good a material library a few years ago maybe used in previous versions of the creo.
Thank you in advance!
Have a good day!

I usually use aisi304 aisi316 aisi316l aluminum delrin fe360 c40 aisi431 bronze epdm viton nbr ptfe inoxa2 stainlessa4.

then I have another question.. .
to the particulars to trade I assign a material "trade". does not seem to me that it is possible in the material file to assign a value "0".
do you usually manage the matter? is it possible to assign to the material loaded a different weight without affecting the file in the library?

Thanks dani, always very kind!

ciao @lollone , I personally check the correct material in case of mono material. in case of commercial details consisting of multiple materials (e.g. a pump that has plastic, rubber, steel or attro), I completely remove the material and check (as recommended by @dani-3d ) a specific weight that approximates the weight of the object. to remove the material from the assignments and modifying the mass properties:
