Having set up a new method of working in the company after my arrival I am now having to handle some changes.

I try to summarize: I have some 3d models and relative dwg that I have to change. the same will then take a new code with the main editing exponent.
I have to keep the old models and drawings in store.

I thought I'd archive the drawings by adding a comment to identify them as an old version, then rename them and go make changes.
the problem is that, being the dwg tied to model 3d, if I reopen the old table this is updated to the changes made on the model.

I would therefore need a suggestion to handle this well.
Any suggestions?

From the title you seem to have the vault. open vault, select table > copy project file; copy both the table and the part with a new name and these two will be connected together as the first two will be connected together

I was already doing that way, I don't really like that multiplying file.
long it fills servers.
I thought they could manage the revisions, but if I understood from the guide you need the vault professional

That's right. is so (but he also creates more files)

to help you could use on the rev entry of properties so when you make a solid model put the rev and on the corresponding table the same rev. This data you can make it appear in the vault screen. by doing so you always know the 3d corresponding to the 2d. tulle the times you make a chek out and check in for other reasons that do not interest you for the purpose of geometry of the object insert a simple comment at the time of extraction. to make sure that on the table you have a design corresponding to your 3d with a definite revision, add on the cartiglio the rev property of the table and model 3d
