when in 2012 I went to stay for rent I had 9k of fixed expenses a year between rent, bills, insurance/box/tagliandi car and little more...without counting food, an aperitif, a pizza etc.
I took more or less 1400 euros and worked 6km from home.
I am mechanical expert graduated in 2002, I have no vices, and in those 3 years I put away little to say nothing, but at least I was near home with all my affections.

If you think that your life in general can improve in a time span not too long (long you decide what it means) or you really want to work there for a reason of your own prestige/personal satisfaction then do it, otherwise leave it alone.
in money, I would not go far for 1400 euros per month with the rent to pay, especially if you now take more and you are closer to home. I would certainly keep looking around.

If I had to unbalance myself, I would say that 1400 is a minimum acceptable, considering that the company does not know you.
