"new license files" an escamotage to claim money from out of service

I've been reading this thread for a long time and I don't understand.
I tell you how to work ptc, not to make controversy but, to indicate to siemens customers a term of comparison to carry out.
I have two ptc licenses and recently I decided to move them from workstations to the server.
I opened a web call to the ptc from my account (to specify that I have a maintenance license and the other no) indicating the old hosts-id and the new.
after 1 hour and 50 minutes I got the file with new licenses.

all this at zero cost, although I had been completely out of maintenance (I was confirmed by the var) would have been the same.

I do not understand this rigidity by siemens, the "licences" of solidedge are found on the net as ticks on stray dogs ... and tartassano the customers as if they were all trying to trick them.

If a customer wants to cheat, he certainly does not use these methods.

Finally a resolution!!!
after so many attempts and many evenings throw away.
It's for me to say "thank you ip design... "
(cut)
. .
I hope that the leaders who wanted to exploit our esteem to treat us as stupid can read these words.. .
and for them I say that the theoretical 1.400,00 € to them destined, more dirty than deceit than sweat will be used by me to implement my rescue hardware again avoiding similar discomfort and my need of their services... thank you for having me spend 20 days of hell...
I thank all those who participated in this discussion and specific that I, certainly no longer wanted to deal with a company ugs/siemens that treats me as "useless customer "
Well congratulations!
compliments for having "held barrel"
compliments to have found the legal solution to an art-created problem only and exclusively to unnecessarily ciucciate money to honest customers.
compliments for sharing the epilogue publicly

if really for siemens those 1400 € had been "peanuts" (as had been written) for four sghei they could have saved the sad book that comes out from this beautiful thread, puzzled unfortunately :frown:, but always beautiful and still understandable.

keep us updated on the issues inherent in the study of the contractual part... Have you ever seen that you have to change the nikname in "davide"

to completion of what the theo said on the resolution of the problem.
  • I stress that the solution was obtained in a clean and completely legal way by restoring the exact configuration of the pre-suitable pc.
  • recovery was possible thanks to an old logfile that contained the exact configuration of the machine before the fault ( found in an old backup ).
  • without this configuration the procedure is impossible.
  • I recommend to all of you to save the state of your machine (system information of windows )
I do not understand what inconvenience it may have at this time.

Well what to say, of course this story will certainly be a tricky occasion in the hands of certain competitors.

unless siemens decides to push the problem with a clamorous solution that reawakens its credibility until now lost ...

Good morning to all,:bekle:
I wanted to let you know two questions:
1) I informed myself at the offices in siemens for one of our clients and it is possible to "return" to the hardware key after a statement on paper head of waiver of any fleeting licenses. for example who has a mach3, which by definition is fleeting, with this transformation will become "node loked" but you will receive the hardware key!!! :finger:

2)I communicate that is in place a "recovery maintenance champion" with really interesting conditions until 31/12/2010 (it is the first time I see it in the world nx!!!!). it is not possible to give me more information on this because each customer has conditions that could be different from others having made the purchase at different historical times but we remain available for "our" customers to evaluate the actual economic impact and we remain available to anyone who wants to understand more:smile:

good work at all

Hello, Mauro!
Good news. Thank you.

Are we sure that then the license can be installed on any pc and only bootable in the pc where the hw key is inserted? "node locked" means that the license can only be activated on a specific machine and not on others.

node loked means that the software runs on the same pc where the license file is installed (or rather the license manager ....flexlm). the license is controlled by a hardware key instead of the fantomatic cd.

....of course I'm talking about nx and not solid edge

In view of the importance of information, I would recommend that you open a new discussion so that it can be clearly visible to other users.
