subject: nx performance on open for large numbers of unique parts
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
affected software: nx
associated pr number(s): ir 1789566
scope: nx 6.0.3 and higher
revision: n/a
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
problem:
a performance problem has been detected in nx 6.0.3 (or higher) when
opening assemblies having a large number of unique parts in the first level
of the assembly. the performance problem is caused by using
the “modifiable” column in the nx assembly navigator.
remedy:
turn off the “modifiable” column:
- start nx
- open any part
- in the assembly navigator turn off the “modifiable” column
users can use the “read-only” column in the nx assembly navigator to deduce
similar information.
this problem will be addressed in a future release of nx and teamcenter.
