I would not dare to delete them if then delete the originals... at the end im-00301 pointing in the h21 folder is subaxieme of the pos162h21gs_mon pointing instead in the copy folder.

Then do as drake said.
- open the axieme in solidworks and leave it on stand by... don't touch it
- open the cart of windows explorer (explores resources) that will be mounting the copy
- select all files and deletelki; open files in solidworks will not erase them because in use from the program while all others yes. end up in the basket then in case of rethinking they recover

if the issue is to delete files from explore resources then your advice is valid to open the axieme in solidworks to hold the busy files, but here you are using folder terms and assign as if they were interchangeable.
if you want to delete files from within a set the speech is different.
