hi to everyone, I'm not a designer in the strict sense of the word, I know the parametric cads from the university (the mechanical drawing exam I did it with solid edge v5 seems to me), and until recently I had an infarinated solidworks, inventor and the same solid edge. and now I come to the question:
which among the software considered mid have a more complete suite regarding all-round design?
I ask this question because the idea would be to integrate all business designs within the same suite. after taking courses on inventor and solidworks I noticed that apart from the commands for the use of which we need mechanically are equivalent, solid edge also he did not seem very different; always according to our demands, but the question that has left me perplexed on inventor is that while the other 2 have a set of additional applications to create cabling, routing, illustrations, etc. the autodesk system seemed to me only projected on the mechanical question.
our company designs everything internally (mechanically, electrically and software- automation) besides me and 2 others we take care of everything concerning installation, fittings and external maintenance, the request would be except for the plc that would be designed in siemens all the mechanical and electromechanical part we would like to use only one software.
I hope I've been quite clear, thank you all for the answers.
ps: moreover we are moving for a software for the writing of dexteristic type quadrispace that if I do not go wrong is also a module of solid edge, on autodesk it does not seem to me there is anything similar.
