I think, given the area where you live, you shouldn't get too much scruples and start working. I did not understand how much they offer you at the end, but also were 1000 net euros, as start is fine. you will also have to start popularizing your resume.... consider it an investment on yourself and you will see that if you go, after some time (no less than 18/24 months) you will have a way to get a fair compensation.

Maybe as an engineer you'd get more than a designer's qualification, but I'll tell you to accept it and give you your serene line.

you can explain the reason for the third level to the new employer.. at the end is what you are capable of doing and certainly not the union level.
