the factors that make a good workstation assembled are many, your cpu is of excellent family, although not too pumped at frequency level.
vga is good but not excellent, of the motherboard we do not know anything and at least of the hard drive.
in the office I have 3 workstations assembled with the i7 but all with ssd and high or high-end picture (one fx5600 and 2 4000).
on the workstations I give very little software just to prevent me from stopping the records and slowing down in pc.
How is yours at installations? Did you take everything? For example I would never put skype, messenger, photo editing, video editing, etc. but only office, swx and autocad.
the rest does not serve to draw and rather spend 300 euros and put everything on a portable consumer connected in wifi.
solidworks is not granitic, but all these crashes are symptom of any problem.

1 - the tapes we do completely within us ... and yes ... all the machines are "complete" apart from the one to the left and the 3 axes.
2 - I did it with the old pv360 standalone, on a much less powerful pc than yours. was a dual core at the end...
3 - I have not tried the new pv360 yet... but can you make it when you model something? because with the old man I did it quietly... certainly the performances were castrate... but I certainly did not shape complicated pieces. :

pv was born as a stand-alone for the simple reason that was a part of 'mode'.
they had to test their choice to supplant photoworks without having to write any code on solidworks.
sooner or later they had to integrate it into solidworks.
the flow of assignment of the aspects of pv360 2010 is that of way, not that of sw.
if you are handy of sw, you will find familiar the assignment of everything for pv360 2011.
development and choices have passed for an interface that is not that of solidworks, perhaps more pleasant and intuitive, but it was not that of solidworks.

what the dealer does not always is in line with the mother house.
to the presentation of pv360 the solidworks corp. did not make itself beautiful.
the dealer does not always know what the mother house intends to do and however the dealer must stimulate the purchase or renewal, using methods not always liked.
when pv360 was born, you already knew from unofficial noises, the path you would have had.
However, I assure you that you will find yourself well with this integration.
in addition to the performance, integration and customization offered will be appreciated.
