hello to everyone is a bit I think about it and the solution I found doesn't convince me too much... .

I have a part that is used in multiple assemblies and so far everything ok, but of that part in one set I need 10 and in the other 8 and in the other 7.
how do you manage the quantities in the tables?

I am now using a caption with indications that in the x axieme they go 8 and in the axieme y they go 10 etc....
How are you doing?

Thank you.

depends on how the workflow and internal organization is managed.
so much to say: to me it would be of little interest to indicate on the table of the particular quantity for together and I would indicate the total quantities to be produced; then it will be indicated on the assieme the specific quantities of the particular. This is because the supplier doesn't care how I share them, but how many he has to do.
this if the assemblies are part of the single project.
if the assemblies are part of different projects then everyone will have the amount on the assieme and the respective amount on the part

hello boulders and thanks to the usual...

I mean the second case, i.e. different machine designs with different quantities of the same part, so for the x machine it needs 10 on the part table it must be written 10 if the part is used in the maccchina y there must be written 12.
It is in this case that I would like a more elegant solution than to put a caption; I was thinking about configurations now. .

for me if they are two different projects the file, even if equal, will have two different codes/name files.
the file will have the same code/name only if it goes on machines of the same project.

said this I would make a table showing on one column the name of the assieme and on another the amount of consideration. I had found the way to connect the amount present in the axieme to the part, but I don't know if it is possible to do it on multiple assemblies

Hello everyone
for a company where I worked, this problem was managed by management software. when the workshop chief sends into production a new project, the software "communicates" the quantities (in order to control the stocks in stock of materials and commercials). in any case the quantity per project was indicated on the table.

probably it was a pdm. excessive costly solution for a simple count of quantities

Of course.
it was not used only for that, with that software it managed practically all the company: warehouse, employee presences, also mail and documents.
but it was a medium-sized company. In other cases I have simply seen printing the distinct materials of the aid in which the qauntities were defined for that project.

there is a beautiful and very useful macro developed with jenuary just x this deficiency... search it here on the forum

thanks drake you already use the "problem" that does not manage the double projects....

If you can do it cool now I look at it

Hi.

I did not understand exactly what you mean, but the macro we said allows to write the property of the parts in different ways. so if the number of your projects is less than the names of those properties the game should be done. I mean that x along with throws the macro with the qty property, x the axieme b lanci with name and so on. Just that you have to have a x folder each time. then copies of the same part on different folders. It's not really elegant but maybe it could help you.

I have this macro that was developed with configuration insertion and with the ability to write the property in the files contained within a workbook and not in library files, otherwise they could create problems with other projects. You don't have to apologize, my solution, maybe it could work, but it's obviously not elegant at all, indeed. I don't think there's another one, unless you use a pdm or there's a chance to create a special macro that reads more assiemi.View attachment New Quantita_Configurazioni.zip

I use the "type" function of the pdm. when carrying out the drawings, or mold, a stamp is added with some info, including the quantity obtained from the active distinct. I don't write anything in the drawing, just to be able to reuse the components without going to write updated quantities all the time.

the stamp function? I also have the pdm (but the standard one) the stamp function I do not know it....
you could illuminate me even with the link to the guide
Thank you.

I do not use standard pdm, use ready2works and stamp function is part of the latter.
