Sorry, after a period of inactivity on ugnx5, I returned to reuse version nx6 after a long period on catia v5, I kindly ask if you could indicate how to solidify a group of surfaces.
Thank you.

Okay, thanks to the suggestion, I did now, but it is not possible to sew the surfaces without getting a solid?

surfaces must be in tolerance, usually 0.01 distance to get a solid.
But I don't understand, do you want the solid or not?

Hi.

At the moment I need the solid is I have held it, but if you want only the clay surfaces?
I pose another problem, the splines, I have two segments free in space, how do I place the bond of curvatures to the spline on both segments?
Sometimes it happens to me that the carrier is in the opposite direction and when I try to overthrow it loses the constraint of curvature and returns to that of tangency!

You're right, I'm new to the world of forums, I don't know how they work, however I'm jutech, I've been a designer, for about 3 years I've been working in the motorcycle design industry, specifically I'm working on c.a.s design, reverse engineering and design; What about other I am doing a passage from catia v5 with which I had a great practicality to ug, even if I already know it, it is at least 2 years that I do not use it and therefore I find myself dismayed. As long as you think it's an exceptional software!
is it enough as a presentation? Unfortunately I still don't have a personal site but I'm thinking about making one...

Then the questions are both right, at least in the casket I can do both...
I don't know if you've noticed I've placed a problem on the spline too!

Excuse me, did I miss anything?
I repeat I am new to the world of forums! so if I make some mistakes excuse me...but I need some answers!

Hi.
Tolerance you impose it as much as you want. if exaggerating, however, the obtained solid may not be corrected. the system "cuce" you also with 0.5mm tolerance, but it spoils the edges of the individual surfaces.

if "cuci" and the result has no holes, the system automatically converts it into solid.
if the result has some hole, the result obtained is a group of surfaces.

thanks beppino! do you have any suggestions about the problem I put on the splines?
Thank you.

hello and welcome on the forum,
you can sew surfaces without getting a solid by setting in

> model
> general (body type) sheet
Sorry but I'm used to having the menus in English.
Remember then to return to set the body type in solid otherwise even if you do an extrusion of a circle turns out only the cylindrical surface (and you can't go back)

can you tell me instead how to convert surfaces --> solids on catia v5? ?

Thank you in advance! !

in the last versions it is possible.

that strange interface that has nx ..., for a farmer like me used to work with that wax tablet that is proe :biggrin:
is that nx has + flexibility of pro/e:
- can or may not make boolean in the extrude
- can create a solid or surface (and vice versa)
- can extrude with stripes (from the section, compared to a floor etc)
- can symmetrically extrude
- extrudes along a direction that may not be perpendicular to the section
- extrude curves that can be non planar
etc.
... so the input mask, to take into account all of these things is playforce a little richer.
Fortunately though, as you use it, nx stores the parameters used and proposes only those, closing the other options.

I think you and I know each other... It's like a feeling.
Many of the things you have reported are also in the pro/e extrusion function (symmetrical extrusion, choose or switch a solid/surface extrusion ...etc.
the others you have indicated do the same but, not in the extrusion function.

Perhaps this is not the extra flexibility... in other things I can give you reason.

if you use in nx only the functions you described in proe, after a while the interface shows you like:
