set printing settings from the command button

Good morning.

I would like to create a command button that goes to set my default print settings in the drawing;
I'll explain better. as I open many designs that were created by others, these report their printing settings. to print with my currently I simply go to select "previous press" from the print window and then click on "apply to layout" before printing. Finally save to keep the print settings.
the problem is that if I have to print many drawings I use the command "public" but if I don't have all the drawings with its correct printing settings, this doesn't print them. I should before the "public" go manually to correct the settings of all the drawings then print, but you understand that it is a workmanship.
so I would need a button that once acted goes to set my print settings.

In fact, the function you ask is already present in autocad.
wanting you can save the print model. on the top left where there is written <nessuno> and where you go to select the previous print you can also record your settings.
I don't know if you use sheet sets (sheet) but if you combine all the drawings to print in a list of sheets you can print them by forcing the use of a print template by name (which will of course be yours).
I know it's functions that don't use virtually anyone but once you start using your project management, it's much more practical. the collections of the sheets also allow to group the sheets in a hierarchical way or to groups.

Thanks for the answer, I read about this possibility, but honestly I never managed to use it!
First of all if I register my settings by saving them with a name, when opening another design in the drop-down list disappears my setting, I still have to do "previous press" or "import" (in the latter case even if I select a design with save the right settings this does not work).
As for the public, I don't know the procedure to do what you tell me, do you know where I can find a step-by-step guide?
Consider that these things, as you say, no one uses them and they know them in very few, I have learned to use autocad alone because in our schools (which are still at the Stone Age) they do not teach it or do it very scarcely. Although I have been working on autocad for more than 10 years, some things are still missing because I lack basic training.
