I've been missing for a while and it's a pleasure to find you all.
I am evaluating the possibility of using the dynamic simulation module of inventor (2010), never used before, for the modeling of a simple system consisting of a mass, spring and damper. I would like to ask what results I can achieve: For example, is there a possibility to press the mass with an impulse and get the oscillation chart? is it possible to see the oscillations of the mass graphically until completely damping? Are these oscillations actually functions of the spring and damp feature?

I simulated a coarse model of spring-smower with a static vertical load (direction of gravity force) and the first results seem nothing bad; Now I have to understand how to give the underform load of impulse and I ask you, if of your knowledge, information about it.

simulation multiphysics is an inventor module?

multiphysics is a program itself, unfortunately.

for the rest you can control the acceleration of the joint pulse that interacts with your spring. even better if you know the law/performance of the same impulse.

with ansys workbench (I know a bit), in that sense, could I perform the same simulations of multiphysics simulations?
