Okay now I'll explain better:

the company wants to invest on the purchase of a specific cam for fixed lathes with motorized and y axis (biglia with control fanuc 18). the reason for this investment is to reduce the programming times of new samples.
I went last week to the emo and saw an esprit demo hit me a lot for its ease of use and post with free sources. I'm comparing it with other products like mastercam and edgecam I even saw a topslid demo but I don't know if it's worth spending money on a parametric cad. keeping in mind that the company does not own a cad and that 90% of the products that will have to be realized will be to be drawn from scratch I wanted an opinion from who already uses it.

then perhaps a good solution could be just topsolid. draw your pieces and create the program for the lathe in the same environment.
then anyway the economic factor comes into play (how much does the software cost? Is it too much expense?) that only you know how much it can affect!

on esprit you have modeling skills, but limited because its purpose is to make the cam not the cad. you can certainly model simple fixing equipment piece....but its power is in the cam being able to import the feature cad tree from systems cad like solidworks, solidedge, inventor, proe, catia. simply on the feature cad tree, select the features you want to work and turn them with just one click in feature cam and then workable. then you have the possibility to store tools, cutting speeds and progress, working strategies to be applied to features, in a database called knowledgebase. preparing this database according to the processing techniques used in your company, you can, after selecting the features cams to work, get the processing with a totally automatic procedure.
As for the lathe biglia we can offer you a totally tested and reliable solution in the manufacturer we work with.
