someone uses esprit because I'm evaluating the purchase. I went to the emo on Thursday and I saw a very interesting demo I wanted to know from those who already use the pros and cons, I especially care about the post-sale.

Thank you for everything

hello saw the 2010 version? If what do you think?, did you also see featurecam 2010?

hi lucia pleasure to meet you!
So first of all, what do you need to do with it? molds, milling 2.5 axes or 3 axes, turning...?! once established we also start comparison!! I cmq do it to make molds (for precision use auton) and I find it well! cmq just cadcamdoctor will read this conversation will enlighten you on everything is he the real expert (if he does not know it...:biggrin:)
hello soon and good work

Okay now I'll explain better:

the company wants to invest on the purchase of a specific cam for fixed lathes with motorized and y axis (biglia with control fanuc 18). the reason for this investment is to reduce the programming times of new samples.
I went last week to the emo and saw an esprit demo hit me a lot for its ease of use and post with free sources. I'm comparing it with other products like mastercam and edgecam I even saw a topslid demo but I don't know if it's worth spending money on a parametric cad. keeping in mind that the company does not own a cad and that 90% of the products that will have to be realized will be to be drawn from scratch I wanted an opinion from who already uses it.

Thank you for everything

then perhaps a good solution could be just topsolid. draw your pieces and create the program for the lathe in the same environment.
then anyway the economic factor comes into play (how much does the software cost? Is it too much expense?) that only you know how much it can affect!

Good evening

excluding for a moment the economic factor, with esprit I just can't shape anything?? because it didn't seem like a demo! !

Hello lucia,
on esprit you have modeling skills, but limited because its purpose is to make the cam not the cad. you can certainly model simple fixing equipment piece....but its power is in the cam being able to import the feature cad tree from systems cad like solidworks, solidedge, inventor, proe, catia. simply on the feature cad tree, select the features you want to work and turn them with just one click in feature cam and then workable. then you have the possibility to store tools, cutting speeds and progress, working strategies to be applied to features, in a database called knowledgebase. preparing this database according to the processing techniques used in your company, you can, after selecting the features cams to work, get the processing with a totally automatic procedure.
As for the lathe biglia we can offer you a totally tested and reliable solution in the manufacturer we work with.
If you want to ask me more info, I'm at your disposal.
Bye.

Hello everyone! I am a new user of the site.
I have two questions to ask. as I have to interact for the first time with a cam software, more precisely with esprit cam, I would like to know if any of you work or worked with this program.
Moreover the tutorial provided is in English, someone knows where and how can I find a translation in Italian?

Hello everyone I also have to sharpen a cam and have proposed esprit and edge cam but I don't know what you chose
I have to use it on a multitaskin ntmx nakamura but I'm still undecided
I'm sorry if I gave you permission.

hi beduino65 if I can tell you another alternative to those that have proposed to you, also look at the topsolid cad/cam system, allows you to modify the imported files by assigning the tollernazes also for the processing and you can simulate the paths com the machine in order to manage all possible collision risks.

Hello everyone, I have purchased a carn cam for a few days, esprit for my car, a lathe with axis c.
I had to solve the complicated milling programming with axial and radial.
I hope further to be able to provide guidance on cam 2011.

Hi.
I am convinced that for turning/freshing combined with esprit you have acquired the best product available on the market.
Let me know when you start using it. . .

Greetings.

but certain cadcamdoctor should start the course today.. hopefully I have seen so many of those sects to be afraid...

Can anyone tell me if there is a warehouse of tools that can be downloaded for this esprit?

Hello cadcam doctor
If I don't remember, you work at the auton.
a customer friend auton told me that the product will not be + implemented.
is it true? or are the usual chatter told by a competing representative?

Good morning, I'm new. I had two questions to ask, I have a v11 of auton, I wanted to ask 2 things:
1- it is not possible to make a roughing for the finish? I explain better, that I know it is only valid for the roughing, but if I first step a matrix with cut d6 and then put diameter 4 this passes only in the areas where it is necessary to reduce the diameter. But how do you finish? Every time I have to be the one that I do an outline of the areas where it's a minor radius? is there no way that it is auton to calculate these areas alone in finishing?
2- with high-speed brakes, is there no way for example for wild programs to include in the post processor also g733 (i.e. slowing down in the corners? )
thanks to all

It's the post sale he cares about.
depends on who you buy it.
the post sale normally does the dealer not the mother house, of course if you are in maintenance, as happens for all the software I know.

hi axa, it is true what you say, I received several tips and telephone clarifications but nothing more. the game is to take you to the exhaustion and then ask for a nice corset to the small digits of 500€. the most iva day, which is an extortion or robbery you want.

what leaves out is the total lack by these manufacturers of manual software, tutorials. and say that sti cam costs 7/8 thousand €. In short, it seems to me that the trend is, you buy and then you arrange.
If you want to figure out how the sects of the program drains other grain.

a very questionable behaviour both the retailer and the manufacturer.

However if you have any advice on where to find tutorials, manuals, etc. (esprit) pass me also links are happy to study to learn.
Thank you.
