I have a structure... composed for example by making an easy case from two elements... If I change the name of the child element... When I open the father, he no longer loads the child element. I imagine you changed your name to file system: cazz@ta.. .
You have to open the assembly, save as the component.
in this way the assembly keeps everything.
if you have already done you have to replace.

Unfortunately what you want to do on "file system" cannot be done.
However, in the design field, the fact that you name "a muzzo" and then change them, is not exactly a "best practice", especially if your model became "official", then usable and used in a lot of assembly.

We know it's a thing. but my work began with a very new research project for the company... we are still in phase of start up.. so even if it concerns official documents we realized that it would be better to adapt to certain different and more immediate conventions

everything you can learn by yourself. nx is no exception... indeed, if you beat our heads you learn better and with + profit.
But if you have someone who teaches you, you do it a lot earlier: money well spent, especially if your tutor is good.

for your problem there are several solutions.
1st replace component (on assembly navigator go to your particular son to change and with the right mouse button ..... find .... .replace component.
2° save as .... (open a set make a work par of a particular inside the axieme and you can rename them to cascade).

thanks and excuse if I answer you only now...the problem fior roberto is then in later files that recall these new renamed files. . the ties and the linked body are lost... I'm trying the matrix solution to go into customer defaults... I'll try. I hope not to harm:wink:
