Hi, I have a little problem to solve. I need to install pro engineer wildfire2 on windows 7. at the start of the installation does not recognize me the ethernet network card or wi-fi(to take the host id and create the license file). You could try installing a new network and bridge. In this way you should be able to fool him as xp sees a bridge as always connected. Of course you don't transmit anything but...
 
wf2 is not certified seven ... so some problem you may still have.

you probably need to connect the wired network card to a router, otherwise windows do not activate the netowork and keep the card off for your purposes. I had something like this with xp, even though we were trying to do anything else: to mount a local disk as a network unit. even if the disk was inside the pc, the thing was possible only by connecting the network cable to the router, otherwise the network features of windows were inactive.

open "regedit"

hkey_local_machine\currentcontrolset\services\tcpip\parameters

"disabledhcpmediasense" sets: 1

(if there is no such thing as dword)



hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\networkcards

put 1 key value ("fold") of the primary network card for server licenses (and a higher value for others).

(in each folder there is the "description" value that says the card model)

remove the flag "allow your computer to turn off the device to save energy" in:

- open "peripheral management"

- select the network card, dx key and "properties"

- move to "energy saving"

after doing the operations restart the computer.

the program resides on a dvd, arrival to the set-up and from there nothing happens.
set-up doesn't leave.
Do I have to copy all the contents of the dvd on the pc?
with the same program(dvd), on the laptop I had no problem.

from wf3 onwards you can install 32 bits on xp 64 (for example).
