Good evening to all,
I open this post to vent a bit and maybe have advice from who is older than me and has more experience.
I work in a company that produces automotive components as a designer in particular for dealing with r&d prototypes to test for new applications or optimizations of existing ones.
work in this company for 1 year and a half (I am 28 years old and practically is my first experience as a real designer), during this period everything I planned and project is practically not supervised by anyone
the technical manager as well as wanting to know the timing, I don't recommend anything or maybe direct myself... Given his experience of almost 20 years in the company I would expect a routing or even dicks for the baggianate that I do (and I did several) but nothing.
It is true that wrong is the best way to learn but then the blind speaks to me of productivity, that I do not bill, that they are just a weight for the company and waste money for wrong projects on departure.
is so in the entire technical office... there is no senior figure besides the manager who can give advice (I am the one with more seniority in this company).
I feel a little left to myself without supervision. ...I could also design a 15mm pin that must enter a 5mm hole and no one would notice it until the prototype assembly.
I don't say I check everything I do but a check should be there? essentially they are a junior figure
Excuse me.
sabina

Maybe the blind hears and only sees what he says and shows the technical manager.
there are realities where the tops do not have contacts with all employees and interface only with those who have the role of manager

quality in a company is done in the boards of directors. . It's not a joke. . .

I have already been present at the head of the matter in February but nothing in fact.
I was told that we are not at the kindergarten that there must be someone who controls, that by wrong you learn, that being young (like the others of the office) we have a mind more open than the others that are fossilized on old products.
everything true and right but after showing results it pisses like a beast because the solution is not good and can not present the product to customers etc etc.
I like it a lot as a job and as a relationship with my colleagues but it seems to me to go to attempts in the design without a senior person who maybe tells me that what I did is a bullshit

If you want to grow up and learn go away! Every day past there is a lost day! Trust me

fully agree with those who advise you to escape.
If a company thinks that designers can learn on their own without taking into account the experiences acquired by the same company, but also by mechanics in general, it has absolutely nothing and is destined to a sad fate.
sad, unfortunately, for those who work with us and with that job they're living and sending us a family.
Unfortunately the leaders of the tunaph who will make that company will fall on their feet, perhaps with a substantial good exit.

I'm accusing myself to the side of the people who advise you to escape as soon as possible.

p.s: what size does the company have? I ask you because the typical working environment you would find in small businesses.

p.s.2: if really the blind said you are a weight for the company I continue to strongly advise you to escape as soon as possible.

we are an 80 employees headquarters plus a 20 in the second home.. is not just small. problem according to me is the technical office too young and without a suitable guide. You do things in the dark.
for example the drawings I verify myself and the approval of the design of the manager does not last more than 30 seconds...see right if it is impaginate well (when you see it)

I have not been told that I am a direct burden on the company but it has been understood

How many in ut?
age of designers? Is there any expert designer?
age of the manager? experience of the same?

in ut we are in 4 all between 24 and 30 years... I am the one assumed first in this group. who when I got there had left in a few months and then the other boys arrived... maybe this already had to make me understand something.
the manager has been in the company for about 20 years... beyond him of expert there is no one

classic example of a company that considers workers only a cost, so they hire new graduates for roles that require experience, without a flank that can make them grow.
and we complain if they do not perform their work efficiently.
I confirm my idea, away as soon as possible.

And you know what the blind does when things go wrong?
starts cutting employees, further aggravating the situation.
we say that this company is not really a model of tqm ...

a turnover so pushed should have made you think about business issues. . .
In short, let's talk about it... an employee who is minimally well doesn't leave after a few months, in Italy in 2020...

I misunderstood myself... when the boys who were there had resigned and we were hired to replace them.
the boys who were there before us were there for max 2 years
