the lisp inserts the spikes according to the vertices to be quoted, to insert them to predefinite distances you must unfortunately operate "hand".
for the second question I have not understood what function of autosez use, but keep in mind that the share of a vertex of a track polyline is surely identifiable only on a plane (3dfaces).
in the example of the image you can observe two cases with the same distance "abc" between two level curves, but the quotas of the "b" vertices are clearly different.
